Landscapes

Landscapes mean different things to all of us, some like a wide vista, others the smaller intricate details you find as you look closely at a view. For me it tends to be the more open views associated with some of my favourite places in the UK including the Cotswolds and Forest of Dean, which are close to me, before moving further afield to North Devon, Cornwall, the Lakes and North Wales. When I am out in these spaces I am more relaxed and enjoy the changing nature of the views, watching light move across the image, the weather changing what you can see and realising you will always find a different image no matter how often you visit a location. I also spend time in these environments just relaxing and absorbing the sounds, breathing in the air and becoming more grounded in my life. We should all spend more time appreciating what we have when out in the fresh air, so take time to put the phone in a pocket, switch off the music and just see what is there fully, rather than just glancing at it when life distracts you
